The Chelmsford Competitive Festival has been established in the city of Chelmsford, Essex for over 60 years. We aim to reward the hard work and skill of musicians and dramatists in a non-threatening and supportive environment.
The festival runs over the first two weekends in November at St Cedd's School and Trinity Methodist Church. We have classes for all ages and abilities in the following disciplines:
PIANO
BRASS, WOODWIND & RECORDERS
ORCHESTRAL STRINGS & CLASSICAL GUITAR
CLASSICAL & MUSICAL THEATRE SINGING
SPEECH & DRAMA
PLUS PLENTY OF CLASSES FOR GROUPS AND ENSEMBLES

Friday 8th & Saturday 9th November and Friday 15th & Saturday 16th November 2024

CHOOSE A PIECE YOU'D LIKE TO WORK ON FOR YOUR PERFORMANCE AND COME ALONG TO SHOW OUR FANTASTIC ADJUDICATORS WHAT YOU CAN DO. YOU'LL HEAR OTHER PEOPLE PERFORM IN YOUR CLASS AND WILL RECEIVE CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK ON YOUR PERFORMANCE. ITS ALL ABOUT TAKING PART, HAVING FUN AND SHARING YOUR SKILLS WITH OTHERS.
The Chelmsford Festival is run entirely by a team of volunteers who believe passionately about encouraging everyone to participate in the arts.
Anyone is welcome to come along and watch our competitions and events. A nominal admission fee is charged.
